Legends Bank hosted its 3rd annual Game Changer Charity Clay Shoot last October to benefit the local organization, Clarksville Association for Down Syndrome (CADS). Held at Cross Creek Clays, the event raised over $22,000, the highest fundraising total yet for this fundraiser.
To highlight the organization, Meadow Wellington, daughter of Legends Bank’s own Hayes Wellington, VP/ Business Banker, was onsite to provide laughter and joy to all the volunteers and participants.
“The Clay Shoot was such a fun and inspirational day,” said Hayes. “The money raised completely blew the group away, and we are excited about the different opportunities it will provide to give back to our families in the community. We are so thankful to Legends for choosing CADS.”
Hayes and his wife Lily have been active members of CADS since its inception and continued providing support since becoming an official non-profit in 2011.
Money raised from the clay shoot will help provide enhanced programming and resources, as well as support larger projects to benefit local children with down syndrome. Current spend initiatives revolve around family events, development programs, as well as a partnership with the Austin Peay State University speech programs.
Long term, the organization is working to provide a shared collaborative space for all ages that will provide different programs and learning activities for families in the community.
