Legends Bank is a community bank serving both Clarksville-Montgomery County and Dover-Stewart County. Our executive management team consists of Billy Atkins, Chairman/CEO; Thomas E. Bates, President/Chief Operating Officer; Lee Pedigo, SVP/Chief Financial Officer; and Jan Roberts, SVP/Cashier. With the opening of Legends Bank, the executive management team assembled teams of experienced lenders, personal bankers, tellers and an operations department that know this community and have the knowledge and experience to make Legends Bank the preferred bank in the markets they serve. Our board of directors consists of local businesspeople who know and understand our banking market and hold as a priority the interest of our shareholders and customers.
The grand opening of Legends Bank took place in a modular building on the corner of College and First Streets on November 12, 1998. In December of 1999, the bank officially opened its doors in a three-story building designed and constructed to resemble the historic Montgomery County Courthouse with spires on all four corners and eagle-topped cupola. The same concept was used five years later when the bank expanded into Stewart County. The Legends Bank of Dover office is a replica of the Stewart County Courthouse that served that community for nearly one hundred years.
Legends Bank is one of the few community banks in Clarksville-Montgomery County; we are locally owned and operated, decisions are made locally, and profits are reinvested into the community. Legends Bank supports many local organizations, community events, arts and heritage, and other community-enriching projects as part of our community reinvestment efforts.
